Sulabha M and Group – Fuel Efficient Stoves (M. Rampur, Orissa, India)
Sulabha, Bhanumati, Anjali, Baidehi, Tila and Tulasha have formed a group to purchase new, reduced smoke stoves for cooking. Hailing from the village of Karnimal in Orissa, they currently cook with biofuel or wood on chulhas. This creates smoky and hazardous home environment. With a loan of Rs. 2,700 per person you can help these women create a safer environment for their families and make an impact on their lives each day. These efficient-burning stoves will also help cut down their expenses on fuel in the long run.
