Perla G – Nursing (Asunción, Paraguay)
Becoming a nurse has always been Perla’s dream. Perla is currently attending Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud Latinoamericano, working towards her degree in nursing. Without a loan she thinks that she may need to take time off to work and save until she can return to school. With a $838 loan, Perla plans on using the funds to pay her graduation fee. This fee is often more expensive than the semester’s tuition and is a frequent impediment for graduating students in Caaguazú. Currently Perla earns $10 a day. With a degree in nursing she expects to earn $32 a day.
