Advanced studies in chemistry are not for everyone, but Pedro is embracing the challenge. He wants to master this subject so that he can teach it to others. He hopes to get a good teaching job that will benefit both him and his family. Pedro says that without this loan his academic background would remain truncated, because it is very difficult to offset working hours with time for study. Especially in this field, the classes require his full attention. Pedro’s only alternative to this loan would be to ask for the money from a relative, which is not something he wants to do. Pedro wants other students to know that they too have to option to get ahead when they put their full will to everything.
